Emma is a globally recognised leader in both the healthcare sector and marketing communications industries and brings 35 years of experience and success to ONE HUNDRED. As President of Diversified Agency Services (DAS) Europe, a division of Omnicom, her day-to-day focus is connecting agencies and experts with each other to provide better solutions for clients. Emma believes that by improving communications and educating all sectors of society, organisations such as DAS have the power to grow business in positive ways and improve lives around the globe. She is also a steadfast and active proponent of diversity and inclusion, viewing them as critical both to the success of agencies as well as client organisations. Also, as a chair of Omniwomen UK and a member of the global Omniwomen counsel, she has proudly championed promising junior women who aspire to reach leadership positions.
Early on in her career, Emma became involved in CSR initiatives and formed working partnerships with not-for-profit and advocacy groups across Europe. These experiences propelled her to further purpose-driven work, including partnerships with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and corporations to improve respiratory care across both emerging and developed markets (work that won numerous awards from the British Medical Association). In 2000, Emma worked at a number of healthcare agencies where she led global medical education and clinical trial communications initiatives. Her clients included the WHO Clean Hands and Surgical Checklist, WEF Stop TB, and the National Asthma Campaign (patient self-management initiative). She was voted into Pharma Voice top 100 in 2006.
Trained as a paediatric nursing specialist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London, Emma realised early on how important it is to get the message right and deliver it in the right way for it to be heard and understood. She is an active member in several organisations with an interest in developing female leaders, diversity and inclusion. Above all, she believes her purpose is to give a voice to those who need it most.
